Explore the benefits of One Time® Benzoin Tincture Prep Ampule, a botanical product derived from plants of the family Styraceae. This compound, with a rich history dating back to the 15th or 16th century, serves as an adhesion promoter for bandages.
Product Description:
Compound Benzoin Tincture USP (CBT) is derived from plants in the family Styraceae, specifically small to medium trees in tropical Asia. It is produced by incising the bark of the trees and collecting the resin after it hardens. CBT is a blend of benzoin, aloe, storax, and Tolu Balsam, using alcohol as the menstruum. It contains esters of cinnamic and benzoic acids along with free acids, with variations based on its source.
Indications:
Compound Benzoin Tincture USP is used as an adhesion promoter for bandages.
Product Stability:
JAC’s Compound Benzoin Tincture USP swabs come with a five (5) year expiration date, the maximum allowed by the Food and Drug Administration.
Directions for Use:
To use, reverse the cardboard sleeve on the swab, crush ONCE between the thumb and forefinger at the dot located at the center of the swab, and gently squeeze the swab to apply to the desired area. To avoid glass splinters, use only with the paper cap completely in place.
Note: This product is not sterile.
